Lifestyle photography

For the modern family

One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer is seeing couples I've worked in the past start a family. I get attached pretty easily so I love keeping in touch and continuing to capture memories after the wedding is over.   And ever since my sister had a baby (that handsome little cub pictured above)  I have been drawn to family photography-- it's amazing to look through the photos I've taken during my nephew's first year and see how much he's grown.  And I've gotten really good at getting babies to look at me!  All Lifestyle Portrait sessions are $350 and include digital, high-resolution images from your session.

One of my most treasured photos of my mom is one of her when she was pregnant.  Photography wasn't as big in the 80's as it is now, so we only have a few snapshots of this amazing time in her life.  As a child, I remember looking at the photos and imagining myself curled up inside her.  Pregnancy is one of the most special and meaningful times in your life, but it is also fleeting. The Maternity Session is an amazing way for you to document that big, beautiful belly that will change your life forever!

Babies grow so fast that it's hard to notice the subtle differences as they occur. Week-to-week they're getting bigger and changing appearance so quickly that it's almost impossible to notice. Having these photos will showcase the different milestones of your child (like what he or she looked like before their eyebrows grew in or before they gained all that adorable baby weight!). Life is happening so fast that it's easy to miss that stuff, but photography draws out the differences and helps you remember your growing child so vividly.

Children & Family

How many photos do you have of you and your family? If you're like me and a lot of other people, probably not very many. The lifestyle family session captures your life with your family as it is - a true 'day-in-the-life' portrayal of your tribe. A bit documentary and a bit classic portraiture,  imagine seeing how you lived and interacted with each other and being able to share it with your little ones as they grow. These beautiful moments are preserved to show you, over and over, just how incredible a seemingly mundane day could be.
