When you’re planning an April wedding, one of the biggest concerns is probably weather — you just never know what you’re going to get during “Spring” in Ohio! About a week before their wedding it was SNOWING, and yet somehow (in true Ohio fashion), they were greeted with sunshine and warm temps on their wedding day!
The night before, Nick sent me a message and told me that I should probably just focus on getting photos of Kate, because “I’d probably win an award with her face”, how sweet is THAT!? And while I have a suspicion he was trying to turn my attention from him, HE WAS SO RIGHT. Kate is beautiful. But you know what? That’s a common feeling among EVERYONE. It’s hard having your picture taken! I just had new head shots done this week and let me tell you, I’ve never felt more awkward and uncomfortable in my own skin.
But I would also like to tell you that it’s worth it, every time!! Nick was such a trooper! We had about 2 hours for portraits (which is a LONG time), and the entire bridal party was focused throughout (except that one time they started playing football with full beer cans. HAHA. BOYS). And now, they have all these beautiful photos to remember the best day of their lives <3

As soon as we started taking pictures someone drove by and held a beer out the window to cheers the new couple! PS – The guy holding out the beer can was also the DRIVER. I do not condone this but it got them laughing at least?
